General Nondestructive Testing (NDT)

A testing method that examines the surface or internal structure of materials (substrates), products, or structures without damaging or altering the original shape of the object under inspection.

¡Ü Nondestructive Testing (NDT): A simple defect detection method to investigate the integrity, performance, and defect condition of the test subject without destroying it.

¡Ü Nondestructive Inspection/Examination (NDI/NDE): A technique that not only performs NDT but also evaluates and determines the pass/fail based on the test results and criteria for functionality and integrity.

¡Ü Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE): A measurement technique that evaluates the integrity of materials by understanding the loading and environmental conditions, predicting material lifespan using fracture mechanics, and assessing material soundness comprehensively.
